Mossie's is a beautifully restored 19th century country house tucked into seven acres of woodland and gardens on the Beara Peninsula - one of Ireland's best-kept secrets.

When Vanessa and Matti first came to us, they had a remarkable property and almost no digital presence to show for it. Five years later: they have a brand, a website, and a reputation that's caught the attention of Condé Nast Traveller, The Times, and the Irish Independent. This is what a long-term creative partnership looks like.

The Challenge

This is more than a typical B&B: Mossie's is a luxury bed and breakfast, a self-catering escape, a micro wedding venue, a private events space, and a destination in its own right. Everything needed to coexist clearly, without losing the warmth and personality that makes the place what it is.

How we solved it

We started with brand - building an identity rooted in the character of the space. A botanical illustration set inspired by the estate's wild gardens, a casual sketch of the house. A tone of voice direct from Vanessa and Matti: warm, unassuming, quietly confident. The phrase that anchors it all - laidback luxury - came from understanding exactly who they are and who their guests are looking for.

From there, the website was built to grow with them. Navigation structured around distinct guest types, an embedded booking system, events enquiry flow, and a curated Beara Peninsula guide that turned Mossie's into a destination resource. And over five years, we've continued to evolve it alongside the business.

Five years of growth.

A relationship that evolves with the business.

  • Year One
Brand identity, illustration system, and the original build - launching Mossie's with a digital presence worthy of the property.

  • Ongoing
They increased direct bookings by more than 60%, and we continued to expand the site as their offerings grew: private events and micro wedding offering structure, sauna page added, blog and articles section built out.

  • Today
Mossie's is featured in Condé Nast Traveller's 7 Wonders of Ireland for 2026, the Irish Independent's Fab 50, The Times, The Gloss, House & Garden, and more - with a website that reflects every bit of that standing.

"Our website has been a game changer."

Erin truly nailed it bringing our website to the next level - her attention to detail and creativity were perfect. Despite us being miles apart, communicating with her was like talking to a friend. Her skills and seamless collaboration made the entire experience not only efficient but really enjoyable. I definitely recommend her for anyone seeking a talented and creative developer that will bring your vision to life

Vanessa,
Mossie's

It's all in the details.

  • A cohesive, polished brand.
Typography, illustrations, tone of voice, stunning photography - all of these elements work together to reflect the character and quality of the space.

  • Strategic press placement.
Condé Nast Traveller, The Times, Irish Independent - all placed front and centre to reinforce trust.

  • Booking and voucher integration.
Live booking system and gift vouchers mean the site works as a revenue tool around the clock.

  • Custom private events flow.
Pricing tiers, add-ons, FAQ, and an enquiry form all built to reduce the back and forth and confusion that comes with exclusive hire.

  • Local guide and articles.
Curated Beara Peninsula recommendations that make Mossie's the best starting point for the whole region, and helps bring in organic site traffic.

The Result

Mossie's went from almost no digital presence to one of the most talked-about boutique stays in West Cork - and the website has been there for every step of that journey.

Over five years, we've grown the site alongside the business: adding new offerings as they launched, refining the brand as it matured, and making sure the online experience has always kept pace with the real one. The press coverage - Condé Nast Traveller, The Times, The Irish Independent, House & Garden, and more - is a reflection of the quality of the property. But a website that reflects that same quality is what makes that coverage land.

If you're running boutique accommodations, retreats, or a private events venue and you're looking for more than just a website, but a studio that understands your business and grows with it - let's talk.
